Barcelona host Levante in a game from the 22th round of La Liga

Few days after their impressive 5-0 win over Leganes in the Copa del Rey 1/8-finals, Barcelona host Levante in a game from the 22th round of La Liga. Let’s talk about this in our La Liga value betting predictions, shall we?

Barca reacted well after the 0-2 defeat against Valencia at the Mestalla, which was the manager Quique Setien’s first loss since his arrival at the club. Los Cules didn’t play very well against Valencia, but on Thursday they scored five against Leganes. Leo Messi put the ball twice in the net and celebrated his 500th win with the club, while Antoine Griezmann, Clement Lenglet and Arthur also scored for Barcelona.

The defeat at the Mestalla allowed Real Madrid to overtake Barcelona at the top of La Liga, so now the Catalans must aim for the three points. Barca can’t use the injured Luis Suarez, but this will allow Antoine Griezmann to play as “9”. Now the French international can show everyone what he can do at the top of the forward line.

Ousmane Dembele started training again after his last injury, but the French winger won’t be avaliable for the Sunday game. This means that the young gun Ansu Fati could be starting again for Setien’s team.

Levante are an absolute underdog for this game. They are currently 13th in the league standings with 26 points, but they lost all of their last three games in La Liga. This is not the shape they would like to be before facing a team like Barca.

In their last game Levante travelled to Pamplona to face Osasuna, but the game didn’t end very well for them and they suffered a 0-2 loss.

In our La Liga value betting predictions we will say the obvious – Levante are the underdogs during this visit to Barcelona at the Camp Nou. We actually expect Barca to score a few here.
